Developer Clearing Residential Lots In Algonquin

Demolition of three vacant homes at 120, 207 and 299 River Road in Algonquin is underway by developer Commercial Property Associates, in preparation for proposed construction of five single family homes and 13 townhomes on the 2.7 acre parcel with 437 feet of frontage on the Fox River. Commercial bought the parcel at auction in August 2018, and has not yet submitted specific development plans to the Village. Commercial’s owner Carl Swanson is looking for a contractor interested in putting up the proposed residential units, and reconfiguring the docks on 17 piers in the river.
