Woodstock City Council has approved a pilot program for bike sharing. Boston based Zagster will install a rental station with eight bicycles in the Clay Street commuter parking lot in downtown Woodstock. The City will pay Zagster $7,000.00 a year for two years to finance the pilot program. Patrons will pay Zagster $25.00 per adult and $15.00 per child to access the bicycles, which will rent for 2 hours at a time, with rental charges varying from $1.00 to $3.00 per hour. McHenry County Convention and Visitors Bureau is seeking to bring similar facilities to MCC, McHenry County Government Center, Crystal Lake, McHenry and Richmond.
