Six McHenry County Solar Farms Granted Renewable Energy Credits

Six solar energy arrays are slated for construction in McHenry County now that they have received approval in the state lottery for renewable energy tax credits. Atlanta based SolAmerica and Seattle based OnEnergy Development each had two sites approved, while California based Borrego Solar and Florida based DG Solar each had a single site approved.

The six approved locations are:

• Alden Road and McGuire Road, Harvard

• 7814 Seeman Road, Huntley

• Ritz Road and West Railroad Street, Marengo

• Greenlee Street just north and west of Marengo High School

• 22807 Pleasant Grove Road, Marengo

• 11846 Charles Road, Woodstock
