Lake In The Hills Plans $1.8 Million Unincorporated Water Main Reconstruction

Lake in the Hills is planning to spend approximately $1.8 million to rebuild water mains in the unincorporated area south of Pyott Road and Algonquin Road. McHenry County has approved formation of a special service area for the 71 customers served by the project so the Village can tax only those homeowners to pay for the water main upgrades.

Village officials have already spent over $90,000.00 on engineering studies preparing for the project, and expect to propose a bond issue ordinance to fund construction in October, with construction starting in February 2020.
