District 155 Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations Jeremy Davis has announced that, without increasing the 2018 operating tax levy, the district will spend $14,552,000.00 on 22 different summer construction projects spread across all schools in the district.
Cary Grove High School will get air conditioning in the science wing, remodeling of the learning kitchen classroom, replacement of a tennis court, and parking lot revisions.
Crystal Lake Central will get sir conditioning on the English wing, remodeling of the learning kitchen classroom, asbestos abatement and water line replacement.
Prairie Ridge High School will get HVAC improvements, learning kitchen classroom remodeling and new water mixing valves.
Crystal Lake South High School will get entrance sidewalk replacement.
District Administration offices will get HVAC and lighting improvements.
Work will begin immediately after school is dismissed for the summer. “We’ve only got a certain number of days in the summertime and we use them all,” Davis said.
