Cary Proposes Rezoning And Conversion Of Century Old Village Hall

Cary’s Director of Community Development, Brian Simmons, says the village is considering rezoning the area surrounding the historic village hall to R-1 single family residence, while converting the present village hall to a community center and building a new municipal campus on village property at Industrial Drive and Georgetown Drive. The new zoning classification would also allow for church buildings, day care centers, and municipal buildings.
