After approving the sale of Busch Elementary School to a developer for $750,000.00 last year, Johnsburg officials have just approved General Capital Group’s plans to turn the building into a two story 78 unit apartment complex for people over age 55, with 67 one bedroom units renting for $850 monthly, and 11 two bedroom units renting for $1,033 per month. The apartments would be available to one person households earning less than $35,580.00 per hear, or two person households earning less than $40,620.00 per year.

General Capital plans to complete the project in 2020, taking advantage of federal tax credits for development of Section 42 affordable housing.
