According to Huntley Public Library’s director Frank Novak, the Library Board will consider a $12.9 million bond issue referendum at its meeting scheduled for January 10 at 5 p.m. If approved by the Library Board, the referendum would appear on the April 2019 ballot.
The proposed project would reconfigure the library to 31,800 square feet, nearly doubling the existing 17,000 square feet. Huntley homeowners could expect real property tax increases to fund retirement of the proposed bond issue ranging from about $43 up to $76 annually.
