Foxconn Mount Pleasant Construction Going Out To Bid

Foxconn’s $10 billion LCD screen manufacturing plant in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin is going out to bid soon for the first phase of construction. The general contractor, a joint venture of Gilbane and Germany’s M+W Group is expected to send out bid solicitations sometime in April. The designer is Jacobs Engineering subsidiary CH2M, and Sigma Group is the environmental consultant.

The first phase bids will include a 1.5 million square foot television assembly building, a facility for producing LCD screen glass, water and energy plants, offices, and parking.
