Crystal Lake Expecting 492 New Homes East Of Route 31

Lennar has received City of Crystal Lake approval for construction of a planned unit development of 319 single family homes, 105 age targeted single family homes, and 68 townhomes on 310 acres of property northeast of the intersection of Route 31 and Route 176 in the city. Called Woodlore Estates, the development is expected to add 434 children to the two elementary school districts encompassing portions of the site, and discussions of school district boundary adjustments are underway to determine whether it can be arranged so all elementary schoolers in the subdivision would attend the same school. All high school students living in the subdivision would already be within Crystal Lake High School District 155.
